 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actor, and activist. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents She began her career as a child actor shortly after immigrating to the United States. Her fame was boosted by her appearances in AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since the year 2020. She was also a regular series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her role in the pilot television series for New Warriors. Vayntrub is a Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents and she were exiled from antisemitism as young as two years old. They moved to the U.S. with their children. Because of her family's financial troubles, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub went to Beverly Hills High School briefly however she dropped out in her second year. She then obtained the GED and earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. Vayntrub was a student of improv comedy in the Upright Citizens Brigade.
