Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22 1975) is an American actress. She has received many awards which include the Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award in addition to along with five Emmy Award nominations and a BAFTA nomination. She belongs to the Barrymore actor family as well as the granddaughter of John Barrymore. Barrymore was a child actor and gained fame with her role as E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Following a highly publicized childhood marked by drug and alcohol abuse, she published an autobiography Little Girl Lost. In the 1990s she appeared in many films, including Poison, Boys on the Side and Mad Love. Barrymore appeared alongside Adam Sandler on a few films including The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended. Barrymore became a star as a child actor with her character on E.T.
